LiceBeaters was founded in 1996 to make home visits to help people control their lice problems without the need to visit a doctor's office. Lice are tiny crawling insects that live on the human scalp and are very annoying to deal with, along with being embarrassing. These insects survive by sucking small amounts of blood from the head of the host to feed and cause the need for constant scratching of the head.
At LiceBeaters our treatment involves the use of an olive oil based treatment that is natural and does not involve the use of chemicals that may be harmful to the patient. Our natural treatment is effective and saves introducing unnecessary chemicals into the environment, along with exposing the patient to a treatment based on harsh chemicals.
We have dealt with hundreds of cases of lice and the first thing that we need to do is develop treatment plan to get rid of these annoying little insects. Before we begin our lice treatment we check the host's head carefully to determine the extent of the problem. This is an important step, because this will tell us what stage the lice are primarily in at the time. For example are there more nits than lice, equal amount, or more lice than nits. Once the initial finding of the extent of infestation is complete, we develop a treatment plan.
To determine level of infestation we use bright lights to check the hair and scalp carefully from all angles because lice nits (eggs) are very small and adhere to only one side of the hair shaft. Along with the bright light we use magnifying glasses to ensure that we locate and remove as many nits as possible prior to treatment. We use our hands and a special comb designed to scrape lice nits from the shaft of human hair.
Once we have determined that we have removed all the lice nits that we can, we begin our two step treatment plan. The first treatment is the use of a specially designed olive oil based product that we developed under the guidance of a physician and has proven hundreds of times to naturally kill and remove lice. The use of harsh chemicals is not necessary with our proven natural treatment plan.
We provide detailed instructions regarding how to continue cleaning the host's hair and scalp, along with any household items that may have come in contact with the host. Although this may be time consuming to clean or dispose of household items, it is necessary to ensure that the lice infestation is eradicated.
We will make a follow up visit as necessary to ensure that our treatment plan is effective. We want to ensure you are 100 % satisfied with our treatment and services. Our goal is that you and you loved ones do not have to endure these annoying lice insects any longer than you need to.
